Jonathan Southworth “John” Ritter (d. 17 Eylül 1948 - ö. 11 Eylül 2003, Burbank, Kaliforniya), Altın Küre ve Emmy ödüllü Amerikalı komedyen ve aktör.

Biyografi
1948’de Kaliforniya’da dünyaya gelen John Ritter, çok sayıda komedi filminde ve televizyon dizilerindeki rolleriyle adını duyurmuştu. 1983’te ‘En Başarılı Erkek Komedi Oyuncusu’ dalında hem Altın Küre hem de Emmy ödüllerini kazanan Ritter’in sözcüsü, ünlü aktörün hayatını kaybettiğini açıkladı. 55 yaşındaki aktörün ölüm nedeni, kalbe giden damarda oluşan bir yırtılma olarak açıklandı.
