John Crowley (d. 1 Aralık 1942, Presque Isle, Maine), ABD'li bilim kurgu ve fantezi yazarı, yapımcı, belgesel senaristi ve Yale Üniversitesinde doçent.

John Crowley 1942 yılında Presque Isle'da (Maine) doğdu. Babası Hava Kuvvetleri subayıydı. Crowley çocukluğunu Vermont, Kentucky ve Indiana'da geçirdi. Indiana'da liseyi bitirdi ve Indiana Üniversitesinde okudu. Üniversite eğitiminden sonra film çekimleri için New York'a taşındı. İlk romanı 1975'de yayımlandı. 1993 yılından beri Yale Üniversitesinde doçent olarak ders vermekte.
