 Metallica (Metallica Kimdir? - Metallica Hakkında) Metallica Vikipedi, özgür ansiklopedi Metallicaxxx.jpgMetallica ABD'li Thrash metal grubu. Thrash metal akımının üyelerinden, ve 80'li yılların en iyi ve en ilham verici metal gruplarından birisi olarak kabul edilir. 60 milyonu ABD'de, 40 milyonu da dünyanın geri kalanında olmak üzere yaklaşık 100 milyon albüm satışı bulunan grup, müzik tarihinin ticari olarak en başarılı metal gruplarından biridir. Konser satışları açısından da Amerikan müzik tarihinin en büyük 13. topluluğu konumundadır. Köklerini Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Deep Purple, Diamond Head, Iron Maiden gibi gruplardan alan Metallica, yeni doğan Heavy Metal müziğini en zirveye taşıyarak kendiyle bütünleştirmiş; bunları yaparken köklerine sadık kalabilmeyi başarabilmiştir. Tarihçe Metallica’nın temelleri Lars Ulrich tarafından atılır. Ulrich, Los Angeles gazetesine ilan vererek birlikte müzik yapabilecek kişilerle görüşmek istediğini belirtir. İlk telefon, bir basımevinde çalışan 18 yaşlarında lise mezunu bir gençten, James Alan Hetfield’dan gelir. Sert sesi, farklı armonisi ve yeniliğe açık gitar virtiözitesiyle, grubun vokal ve gitaristliğini üstlenen Hetfield’ı, şu anda Megadeth’te çalan gitarist Dave Mustaine izler. Son olarak da siyahi bass gitarist Ron Me Govne gruba dahil olur. Topluluk bu kadrosuyla ilk konserini Anaheim (California)’da Radio City’de 14 Mart 1982’de vermiştir. Doğrusunu söylemek gerekirse istedikleri başarıyı yakalayamamışlardır. Çünkü Dave Mustaine tam bir alkoliktir. Çok geçmeden gruptan uzaklaştırılır. Kirk Lee Hammet onun yerine geçer ve eksikliğini hissettirmemenin de ötesinde işler yapar. Sıra Ron Me Govne’ye gelir. Çünkü bu bassçı gruba uyum sağlayamaz, buna başarısızlığı da eklenince artık çekilmez olur ve gruptan uzaklaştırılır.Boşluğu doldurmak için gruba transfer edilen, dönemin ünlü gruplarından Truma’nın bass gitaristi Cliff Burton tek kelimeyle mükemmeldir. İlk albümleri 1983'te çıkardılar. İsmi konusunda prodüktörlerle sorun yaşadıkları (albüm önce "Metal Up Your Ass" ismiyle çıkması istendi ancak prodüktörleri yüzünden ismi değiştirmek zorunda kaldılar.) Kill'em All adıyla çıkan ilk albüm metal dünyasında çığır açan bir albüm olmuştur. Metallica'nın ilk kez gazetelerde dergilerde duyulmasını bu albüm sağlamıştır. Metallica belirli bir hayran kitlesi topladıktan sonra ikinci albümün geleceğini duyurmuştur. İkinci albüm Ride the Lightning ile grup Avrupa'da turnelere çıkmaya ve imza dağıtmaya başladı. Grup bu albümle yurtdışında da tanınmaya başladı ve metal dergileri tarafından yılın metal grubu seçildi. Artık Metallica çığ gibi büyüyordu ve adını tüm Dünya'ya duyurmak için adım adım ileriyordu. Çok geçmeden Metallica hayranlarını sevindirecek haberi verdi: "3.albüm geliyor." Herkes Metallica'nın çıkardığı bu iki muhteşem albümden sonra gene muhteşem bir albümün geleceğine emindiler ve yanılmadılar; 3. albüm çıktı: Master of Puppets. Bu albüm Thrash Metal'in en iyi albümlerinden biri olarak kabul edilir. Bu albümle ile artık Metallica'nın ismi dünyada duyulmaya başladı. Çünkü bu albüm çıkarılabilecek en muhteşem thrash metal albümüydü. Albüm kısa sürede satış rekorları patlattı ve Metallica'nın en çok satılan albümlerinden birisi oldu. Master of Puppets albümü metal dergileri tarafından 10 üzerinden 10 verildi. Topluluğun ilk üç albümünde bas gitar çalan Cliff Burton, 1986 yılında İsveç'te bir konser dönüşü yaşanan trafik kazası neticesinde hayatını kaybetti. Dağılmanın eşiğine gelen grup, hayranlarına üzülmemelerini ve yollarına tam gaz devam edeceklerini söyledi. Bas gitarist olarak Jason Newsted'i kadroya katan Metallica, kısa süre sonra 4. albüm haberini verdi: "...And Justice for All" albümü de ilk 3 albüm gibi muhteşem bir albümdü. 1991'de kendi adlarını taşıyan Metallica albümü popüler kültür elementleri barındırıyordu, Metallica Thrash Metal grubu kimliğinden ödün vermişti ama herşeye rağmen güzel bir albüm çıkarmışlardır. Bu albüm sayesinde Metallica birçok ödül de kazandı ve Avrupa'daki hayranlarını da arttırdı.Sonrasında gelen Load ve Reload albümleri güzel şarkılar barındırsa da thrash metal hayranlarını hayal kırıklığına uğratırken gruba yeni jenerasyon hayran kitlesi kazandırdı ve grup birçok ödül daha kazanıp yoluna güçlenerek devam etti. Sonrasında gelen Garage Inc. ve Symphony & Metallica (S&M) albümleriyle grup popülerliğini daha da ön plana çıkarttı. 2000'li yıllarda Napster davası ve bas gitarist Jason Newsted'in gruptan ayrılması grubu içinden çıkılmaz durumlara sürükledi. 2003 yılında bir dönem Ozzy'nin (Ozzy Osbourne) bas gitarcısı olan Rob Trujillo gruba katıldı, fakat o sırada albüm kayıtları sona ermek üzere olduğundan bas gitarı o değil, aynı zamanda prodüktörleri olan Bob Rock çaldı. 2003 yılında yayımlanan son albümleri St. Anger, çiğ soundu, garip davulları, Hetfield'ın cilasız vokal performansı ve hiçbir solo olmaması gibi nedenlerle çok tartışıldı ve karışık eleştiriler aldı. St. Anger albümü belli kesimin çok sevdiği bir albüm olurken belli bir kesiminde beğenmediği bir albüm olmuştur. Grup 2005 yılı sonunda 15 yılı aşkınlık prodüktörleriyle yollarını ayrdı ve birçok önemli isimlerle çalışmış olan Rick Rubin'le çalışmaya karar verdi. Şu sıralarda yeni albüm çalışmalarını sürdürmekte olan Metallica'nın bu albümünün 2008 yılının Eylül ayında cıkması bekleniyor. Missionmetallica.com adlı sitede yapılan duyuruya gore 12 haziranda album demoları piyasaya çıkacak. Şu anda yeni bir album çalışmasındadırlar. Bu şarkılarla beraber Master of Puppets albümlerinden önceki sound'a dönmeyi planlamaktadırlar. Verdikleri röportajlarda hayranlarını ikinci bir St. Anger faciasını yaşatmayacaklarını dolaylı yoldan söylemektedirler. Öte yandan grubun bateristi Lars Ulrich verdiği röportajlarda St. Anger albümünün eğlenceli olduğunu, dibe vurmuş bir grubun ayaklarını yere vuruşunu ifade ettiğini ve bu nedenle de verdikleri en samimi albüm olduğunu belirtmiştir. Grubun ritim gitaristi ve vokalisti James Hetfield ise son verdiği röportajlarda yeni prodüktörleri Rick Rubbin'in tenkidiyle Master of Puppets tarzı bir albüm istediklerini, bunun her ne kadar imkansız olmasa da zor olduğunu açıkladı. Fakat yeni albümün St. Anger'dan farklı olacağının altını çizen Hetfield, Master of Puppets kalitesinde bir albüm hazırlıklarında olduklarını belirtti. Hetfield'ın verdiği röportajlarda bu albümün melodik sound'unun da olacağı belirtiliyor. Albümün, resmi sitelerinde Eylül ayında çıkacağı duyurulmuştur. Yeni çıkacak albümün adı Death Magnetic'tir. Metallica, Türkiye'de biri 1993 yılında İnönü Stadı'nda, diğeri de 1999 yılında Ali Sami Yen Stadı'nda olmak üzere iki konser vermiştir.
