Tony Kushner(16 Temmuz 1956) Angels in America ile Pulitzer ödülünü kazanan,Amerikan çağdaş oyun yazarıdır.Tony Kushner ayrıca Eric Roth la beraber Münih(2005)(yönetmen, Steven Spielberg)'in senaristidir.
Manhattan'da doğmuştur;ama yahudi ve müzik eğitimi almış olan ebeveynleri onun doğumundan kısa süre sonra Lake Charles, Louisiana ya taşınmıştır.Kushner 1974'te New York'a taşınmıştır ve eğitimini Columbia Üniversitesinde sürdürmüştür.Yönetmenlik eğitimini New York Üniversitesinde almıştır ve 1984 te mezun olmuştur.
Nisan 2003'te Tony Kushner ve Mark Harris New York ta evlilik seramonisiyle birlikteliklerini pekiştirmişlerdir.
